The band, based in Madison, Wisconsin, was officially formed after the release of the "Flames" CD, in spring of 2000. Julie originally played open mics and solo shows around Madison, but soon found herself wanting to have an entire band working on her songs. Over time, she found 3 great musicians to join her in shows and to work on the music for "Flames." Soon after the CD release, the group decided to work as a band and has been playing shows in Madison ever since. The band concentrates on Julie’s songwriting, and each member brings his or her own style to the songs to form a collective sound.
