Current Whiskey Sundayins:

Bob Manor & The Getaway Drivers (Madison) - acoustic rock - Bob Manor is a wonderful person and a terrific songwriter. Ken compliments his songwriting as a member of the Getaway Drivers.

Russian Folk Orchestra (Madison) - traditional Russian folk - Matt has been a long time member of this UW group.

Shauna Wells (Madison) - folk & jazz - When Shauna is not playing solo shows, she recruits Ken for the bass groove.

Swimteam (Madison) - power pop - This is the band in which Gail actually gets to use sticks on the drums!

The Theramones (Madison) - "thermin-driven chamber punk experiment" - The key to The Theramones is the intriguing and mesmerizing theramin. Then add trumpet, keyboards, percussion and Matt on guitar, and you have a Ramones cover band with a twist.

Former Whiskey Sundayins:

Montakus (Madison) - "organ funk/boogaloo trio" - After bass player, Matt Appleby, moved to Minneapolis for a year and drummer, Tim Gruber, moved on to other projects, Julie and Daniel Cain (Whiskey Sunday guitar player) went in search for band members. They found jazz players Kevin Tipple, bass, and Jon Rygeiwicz, drums, to fill the vacanies and give the music a different twist. Check out Kevin and Jon's latest band, Montakus.

Mudride (Madison) - alt-country-rock - When Kevin and Jon starting getting the itch to move back to jazz, Julie and Danny started looking for musicians with music interests more similar to their own. They found Jack Nachtman, bass, and Jason Schumacher, drums. When Julie left to live in Chicago in the summer of 2001, Jack and Jason revived the band Mudride. Although Mudride is currently on hiatus, you can still listen to their sound on the band's website.

Shot to Hell (Madison) - country-punk-rock - While taking a break from being frontman of Mudride and after playing in the Have Nots with Aaron Scholz, Jack began playing drums for this band in late 2004. Check them out around town...it's an excellent show.

Pupy Costello & His Big City Honk Tonk (Madison) - country - After the hiatus of Mudride and playing in the band The Haints, Jason Schumacher now plays with the fun and talented band...which has a show every Wednesday at the Crystal Corner Bar.

Friends:

B.O.B.P. Benefits of Being Paranoid (Madison) - alt-folk-rock - Marc Hoernke and Julie were guitar-playing neighbors in 1999, and after losing touch, Marc and bandmate Sam Wurz stopped in at a show in spring 2002. They've since collaborated and shared gigs with Julie and Whiskey Sunday and are a great band you should check out.

Buck Cornell & The Nematones (Madison) - pop-folk-rock - We met the members of this band through our friend Bob Manor. This is a fun band with wonderful people and maybe if you go to a show, you'll be able to spot the elusive Buck Cornell.

The Wickershams (Madison) - Americana - Dave Esmond, formerly of Mudride, is an amazing guitar player. He has recently joined up with The Wickershams. Go see what he can do.
